Elmy's Special Services

Elmy's Special Services collaborates with community members to provide programs that promote independence, uphold the dignity of each individual, and increase children's opportunities to live full, happy lives in their natural settings. Elmy's assists clients and their families in achieving these objectives by providing activities that promote social and intellectual engagement, educational opportunities, therapeutic exercises, and safe and welcome methods for clients to become a part of the greater community. Here are some of the available services.


Children with impairments under the age of three benefits from early intervention treatments. The purpose of the program is to assist young children in acquiring vital developmental and life skills. Each child assisted by Elmy's Special Services early intervention programs receives an individualized care plan. A child must reside in New York City, be between 0 and 3 years old, and have a confirmed developmental or physical delay or impairment, such as cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, or autism, in order to qualify for assistance.
